The Case
Meggs was convicted of seditious conspiracy, obstruction of an official proceeding, conspiracy to prevent an officer from discharging duties, and tampering with documents. He and other Oath Keepers planned and participated in the Capitol breach. The Pardon
On January 20, 2025, President Trump granted Meggs a commutation of his sentence to time served under a proclamation covering certain offenses relating to the events at or near the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
